Title: Project ManagerLocation: RemoteJob Type: Contract (5 Months)Compensation: $22.56-$30.08/hrIndustry: RetailAbout The RoleWe are partnering with a leading U.S.-based retailer to support its enterprise waste minimization and sustainability operations across a large store and supply chain network. This Project Manager role focuses on keeping essential waste and recycling programs running smoothly by coordinating service requests, managing vendors, tracking issues, and supporting field teams.This is an operations-focused role ideal for candidates who are highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.Job DescriptionThe Project Manager will support daily operations for a Waste Minimization team, helping ensure consistent, cost-effective waste services across retail and distribution locations. This role involves managing service requests related to trash, recycling, and cardboard balers; working closely with vendors; and maintaining accurate program documentation.What You’ll DoManage day-to-day service requests related to waste programs, including trash, recycling, and cardboard balersCoordinate with external vendors on pickups, repairs, onboarding, and issue resolutionTrack open requests and follow up to ensure timely and complete resolutionReview basic operational data to identify trends, gaps, and cost driversSupport store and field teams by answering questions and assisting with troubleshootingMaintain clean, accurate records and program documentationIdentify recurring issues or risks and escalate them to core program leadershipSupport new vendor onboarding and ongoing service relationshipsQualificationsRequired Qualifications:Strong organizational skills with proven follow-through High attention to detail and adherence to established processes Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills Basic data skills, including Excel, tracking logs, and simple data analysis Problem-solving mindset with a focus on identifying root causes Comfort working with vendors, service providers, and field teams Ownership mindset with a bias for actionPreferred Qualifications:Experience with work order or asset management systems (e.g., IBM Maximo or similar platforms) Familiarity with Smartsheet or other workflow/project tracking tools Prior experience supporting operations, facilities, waste management, or sustainability programsBenefitsDahl Consulting is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees that will allow you to choose the best coverage to meet your family’s needs.
