We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Montessori Director to lead our school operations and support continued growth and enrollment.
Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and organized Montessori Director with strong leadership and operational experience in early childhood education. The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of the school, support staff and families, maintain licensing compliance, strengthen parent communication, and help drive enrollment growth through community outreach and marketing efforts.
The Director will play a key role in maintaining a positive school culture while ensuring high-quality care and educational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the preschool and ensure a safe, organized, and positive school environment.
Supervise staff schedules, classroom operations, and daily program activities.
Maintain strong communication with parents through meetings, phone calls, emails, newsletters, and weekly updates regarding classroom activities and student progress.
Address parent concerns professionally and build positive relationships with families.
Support teachers with classroom management, lesson planning guidance, and implementation of Montessori practices.
Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations, health and safety requirements, and school policies.
Conduct staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing support for teachers and assistants.
Monitor attendance, enrollment records, tuition, and administrative documentation.
Coordinate school events, parent engagement activities, and special programs.
Assist in marketing and enrollment efforts, including tours for prospective families, community outreach, social media updates, and promotional activities to increase enrollment.
Maintain and improve the overall quality and reputation of the school.
Manage classroom materials, supplies, and operational needs of the school.
Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment for staff and families.
Support the mission and values of the school while promoting child development and lifelong learning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Child Development, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Montessori Certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership or director role within a preschool or Montessori setting.
Strong knowledge of preschool operations, licensing standards, and staff management.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Experience working with parents, staff supervision, and conflict resolution.
Experience with enrollment growth, marketing, or community outreach is highly preferred.
Passion for early childhood education and supporting children, families, and educators.
