Visitor Services Representative
Serving as a hub for cultural enrichment, experiential learning, and stewardship of collections, manuscripts, photographs, and other invaluable archival materials, Chester County History Center (CCHC) preserves and shares Chester County’s diverse, noteworthy, and captivating stories with a wide range of audiences.The Visitor Services Representative will serve as the primary point of contact for CCHC’s visitors and local researchers, including but will also assist with sales and renewals of memberships and promotion of events. The Visitor Services Representative will be responsible for ensuring that visitors have a wonderful experience by providing excellent customer service and superb organizational preparedness.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Create a positive, safe, and welcoming environment for guests of all ages and backgrounds by being hospitable, approachable, and professional in appearance and demeanor.Respond promptly to visitor inquiries via phone, email, or in person. Provide information to visitors regarding existing and upcoming events and exhibits. Assist customers with sales in the Museum Shop. Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery. Maintain detailed records of visitor services. Assist with the management and sales of museum memberships.Responsible for onsite membership salesInform visitors of museum protocols, procedures, rules, and policies as needed.Be able to work independentlyQUALIFICATIONSStrong background in customer service with excellent communication skills. Experience using Microsoft Software and Square is preferred but not required. Ability to work effectively and provide superb service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Previous experience working with museums or historic sites is a plus. A friendly demeanor and the ability to build rapport with diverse audiences.
