Full-Time Physician (Nephrologist) position
Overview
The Permanente Medical Group (PMG) is actively seeking a BE/BC Nephrologist to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. PMG is one of the largest medical groups in the nation with over 10,000 physicians, 21 medical centers, and numerous clinics throughout Northern and Central California.
Responsibilities
Cover one hospital (Santa Clara Community Hospital) and two clinics (primarily Santa Clara, 10% at Skyport). Provide clinical nephrology care.
Provide on‑call coverage, covering one hospital SCH with an average patient load of 25 patients.
Perform dialysis rounding at contracted dialysis units and at one or two dialysis clinics due to expansion.
Attend clinic and cover our peritoneal dialysis unit one week every six weeks; see all peritoneal dialysis patients during monthly visits.
Participate in teaching/residency programs (internal medicine, podiatry, gynecology, emergency medicine), medical students from Boston Medical University and Stanford, and Kaiser Nephrology Fellows; mentor research projects.
Lead regional and local projects and serve on committees to enhance leadership skills.
Qualifications
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Nephrology.
Must be eligible to obtain a California medical license or currently licensed to practice in California.

Full‑time annual salary range $322,894 to $332,880 plus potential incentives up to $43,320.
