Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Energetic, compassionate, honest, professional and dependable individual to work with adults with developmental disabilities in a center based and community settings. Must have reliable transportation, good driving record and be able to pass drug screening and background check. Minimum of high school diploma or GED. Approximately 37-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Must have good written and verbal communication skills. CNA's encouraged to apply.
The DSP is responsible to carry out the objectives identified in participants’ individualized service plans under the guidance and supervision of the manager and director. The DSP provides training, support and assistance in a normalizing manner that promotes choice, independence and community presence in a manner that is respectful and as non-intrusive as possible. DSPs provide group day support, community engagement, therapeutic behavioral intervention, crisis management, assistance with medication and assistance with personal skills as needed.
