Supervisor is responsible for immediate supervision of assigned staff in Head Start classrooms countywide, and as well as implementation of Head Start Program Performance Standards.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for immediate supervision of assigned staff located throughout Chester County, relative to both CCIU and Office of Head Start policies and proceduresResponsible for the disabilities component of the program, including referrals and screenings, in collaboration with Preschool Special EducationDevelop positive relationships with families enrolled in the program, assisting with family needs and addressing any family concerns that ariseSupervise and evaluate education staff with regard to educational and administrative planning including provision of feedback that leads to positive change in performanceOversee daily dismissal of students, ensuring safe processes are maintained, staff and parents follow procedures, and students are properly supervisedInteract with the Policy Council at monthly meetings, substituting for the Director when neededOversee assigned staff compliance with CCIU and Head Start Personnel Policies and ProceduresMake recommendations regarding staff professional development needs; provide or arrange for training in collaboration with Head Start Supervisor and Coaching teamWith the Data Specialist, oversee assigned staff completion of education and family data trackingAssist in creation of budgets, grant applications, and community partnerships to grow the Head Start programRecommend purchase of equipment, supplies and materials based on classroom needs as identified by ECERS, curriculum, safety reviews, and observationsAssist all content area specialists in refining, clarifying, implementing, and updating service plans to ensure continuity and consistency of programmingAssist in recruitment of eligible familiesCoordinate classroom coverage as neededQualificationsEducation & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Education or closely related field requiredPrevious supervisory experience strongly preferredKnowledge of operating grants strongly preferredProfessional Or Other Required ClearancesValid Driver's License & reliable transportation requiredCurrent police, child abuse, and FBI fingerprint clearances within 1 year requiredAnticipated Salary Range2025-2026: Project, Level 15, $75,349 - $94,187/yr.2026-2027: Project, Level 15, $77,987 - $97,483/yr.
