Food Service Assistant

Job DescriptionOn-Site Staffing Services is looking for individuals with culinary knowledge and experience as Food Service Assistants to join their Dining & Culinary Services team out in the Madison, WI area to start as soon as possible.RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepares food and completes related tasks according to qualifying and safety standards to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve departmental food service goals. 20% perform routine food preparation activities such as portioning, chopping food, and serving food to customers 10% Assists and guides student workers 10% Prepares a variety of basic dishes such as sandwiches and salads and assists in the preparation of more complex dishes 20% Greets customers, answers questions and provides basic information regarding food preparation and associated activities 10% Cleans, inspects and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas 15% Adheres to federal, state, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures 15% Coordinate and perform the set-up and clean-up of preparation, production, service areas, catering events, and equipment$18.00/hr.Requirements 1 Year of food production preferred Preferred SERV Safe Certification The company continues to follow necessary health and safety protocols to protect the company from COVID-19. Week 2: Sunday 2-10:30pm, Monday Off, Tuesday 2-10:30pm, Wednesday 2-10:30pm, Thursday 2-10:30pm, Friday 2-10:30pm, Saturday Off The primary schedule for this position typically consists of 5, 8-hour shifts per week that may fall on any day of the week. The schedule may rotate every other weekend. Operational and work schedules will be closely aligned with the services and customer needs of the unit.
