As a Data Specialist, you will play a critical role in bridging raw client data with actionable insights by supporting both data engineering and data integration efforts.This role uniquely combines data pipeline development, data modeling, and data integration, ensuring that healthcare data from EMR systems is accurately ingested, transformed, and validated within Medisolv’s platform. You will partner closely with internal teams and clients to deliver reliable, high-quality data that powers our quality reporting solutions.What You’ll Be Doing / Who Thrives in This Role.Data Engineering & Pipeline DevelopmentDevelop, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Azure technologies (e.g., Azure Data Factory, SQL Server)Build and support ETL/ELT workflows to enable efficient data processing and transformationMaintain data models and ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across systemsExpand capabilities into big data environments (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake) as neededMonitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot failures or inefficienciesData Integration & ValidationConfigure and manage ingestion of EMR data into Medisolv’s platform, including direct integrations and flat file transfersMap and validate clinical and encounter data to support accurate quality measure reportingIdentify and resolve data discrepancies, formatting issues, and integration gapsValidate data transformations and ensure compliance with Medisolv standards and regulatory requirementsServe as a resource for resolving data-related issues escalated from implementation or support teamsClient & Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with teams across Implementation, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering to resolve data issuesPartner with clients to align data integration processes with Medisolv best practicesSupport production rollouts and onboarding of new client data integrationsTranslate data challenges into actionable solutions for both technical and non-technical stakeholdersReporting & Continuous ImprovementContribute to reporting, dashboards, and visualization tools (e.g., Sisense, Power BI)Document workflows, best practices, and data integration standardsIdentify opportunities to automate repetitive processes and improve efficiencyHelp evolve Medisolv’s data architecture and integration standardsWhat You’ll Accomplish - Your Performance ObjectivesIn your first 30 days, you will:Onboard with the data team and gain familiarity with tools, workflows, and data infrastructure Learn Medisolv’s data model, integration standards, and regulatory requirements Review existing pipelines, mappings, and reporting tools Begin supporting basic data ingestion and integration taskIn Your First 3 Months, You WillTake ownership of assigned data integration and pipeline tasks Develop and optimize data workflows in Azure Begin independently identifying and resolving data discrepancies Collaborate with teams to improve data quality and integration processesIn Your First 6 Months, You WillDeliver accurate, reliable data integrations that meet client and regulatory requirements Troubleshoot complex pipeline and integration issues across systems Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and clients Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalabilityIn Your First 12 Months, You WillServe as a subject matter expert in Medisolv’s data pipelines, models, and integration processes Contribute to scaling data architecture and supporting advanced data initiatives (e.g., AI, analytics) Standardize best practices and improve integration strategies Support onboarding and rollout of data solutions across new clientsWho We’re Looking For - The Personal Competencies That MatterProactive Problem Solver: Takes initiative and drives work from concept to completion Collaborative: Builds strong partnerships across technical and non-technical teams Adaptable: Thrives in a fast-growth environment and embraces change Detail-Oriented: Ensures accuracy and reliability in complex data systems Growth-Minded: Continuously learns and improves processes and technologies Resilient: Approaches challenges with a solutions-focused mindsetWhy You’ll Love Working HereBlend of data engineering + client-facing data integration (rare hybrid skillset) High impact on customer success and product outcomes Exposure to modern data stack + healthcare domain Opportunity to grow into SME or advanced data engineering rolesReady to join us on this exciting journey?
