Patient Care Assistant (PCA)
Responsibilities:
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and ambulation
Take vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure) and report any abnormalities to the nurse
Assist with meal preparation and ensure adequate nutrition and hydration
Monitor and report changes in clients' condition, including physical, emotional, and mental well-being
Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
Document care provided in client charts accurately and completely
Collaborate effectively with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times
Ensure client confidentiality
Qualifications:
Current CNA certification
Minimum of 1 year experience working as a CNA in a healthcare setting (home health preferred)
Strong compassion and a genuine desire to help others
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Ability to lift, transfer, and ambulate clients with minimal assistance
Proficiency in documentation and record keeping
Job Type: Part-time
