Senior Python Developer

Position: Senior Python DeveloperExperience: 12+ yearsWe are seeking a highly seasoned Senior Python Developer with over a decade of hands-on software engineering experience to drive the architecture, design, and implementation of our core enterprise platforms. In this contract role, you will be expected to hit the ground running, taking ownership of complex backend ecosystems, optimizing high-throughput data pipelines, and implementing robust API architectures.The ideal candidate is not just a Python expert, but a pragmatic architect who understands how to build scalable, distributed systems within modern cloud environments, ensuring high performance, strict security, and maintainability.Key ResponsibilitieArchitecture & Design: Design and build high-performance, low-latency distributed systems and microservices using modern Python frameworks.System Optimization: Refactor legacy codebases and optimize application performance, focusing on concurrency, asynchronous processing, and efficient memory management.Data Pipelines & APIs: Architect and implement robust RESTful and GraphQL APIs. Design scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines handling large volumes of structured and unstructured data.Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy, manage, and scale applications within cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure) leveraging modern Containerization and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Technical Leadership: Provide immediate architectural direction, establish strict coding standards, conduct rigorous code reviews, and mentor mid-to-senior level engineers on the team.DevOps & CI/CD: Implement and enhance automated testing pipelines (PyTest, integration testing) and continuous deployment workflows to guarantee production stabilityRequired Skills & QualificationeCore Python Mastery: 8+ years of deep, production-level Python experience (with 12+ years overall software engineering experience). Expert knowledge of Python internals, memory management, and advanced concepts (decorators, generators, context managers)Concurrency & Async: Strong experience with asynchronous programming in Python (asyncio, Tornado, Twisted) and multi-threading/multi-processing paradigmsFrameworks: High proficiency with modern web frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or FlaskData & StorageExpertise in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and advanced ORM usage (SQLAlchemy)Hands-on experience with NoSQL solutions (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra)Deep understanding of caching layers (Redis, Memcached)Cloud Ecosystems: Heavy experience with cloud services (preferably AWS — EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS)DevOps & Tooling: Proficient with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins), and modern version control.
