Our facility operates a wide range of guest-facing mechanical and technical systems that require consistent maintenance, repair, and preventive care to ensure a safe and reliable guest experience. Position Overview Lumos is seeking a Facilities & Equipment Technician with strong hands-on experience in building maintenance and mechanical problem solving. This role is responsible for maintaining the physical facility while learning and supporting the operation of attraction and entertainment equipment. Facility maintenance may include repairing flooring, drywall, paint, plumbing, etc. across a large 50,000+ sqft building. This position also includes maintenance and repair of Lumos-specific attractions and equipment, including bowling pinsetters, lane machines, ball returns, bumpers, axe throwing systems, laser tag equipment/arena, immersive attractions such as Dark Ride, VR Arena, laser maze, and arcade equipment. Prior experience with these systems is not required, as all attraction-specific training will be provided in-house. However, candidates must demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in learning new systems, and a working knowledge of tools, materials, and general repair principles. Success in this role requires the ability to diagnose issues methodically and work through unfamiliar technical problems safely and independently. Responsibilities Perform general facilities maintenance and repair such as drywall, flooring, carpentry, lighting, plumbing, paint, etc. Complete small construction and improvement projects Execute preventive maintenance programs Troubleshoot and resolve facility and equipment issues Learn and maintain attraction and arcade equipment Maintain safe, organized work areas Communicate maintenance needs and project status with management Work as a team with the other technicians to create extraordinary moments for guests. Team leadership - After onboarding and getting fully up to speed on the Lumos processes and leadership expectations, leadership of a small support team will be expected.Required Experience & Skills Experience in facilities maintenance, mechanical repair, construction trades, or related technical field Strong problem-solving and diagnostic ability Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Working knowledge of tools and general repair practices Proficiency with computers and work management systems Ability to learn new systems and equipment Preferred Experience Automotive or mechanical experience or hobby background Experience with preventive maintenance programs Experience in high-volume commercial or entertainment environments Schedule Full-time salariedWeekend, evening, and holiday availability required Compensation & Benefits Salary: $62,000 annuallyBenefits: Health, Vision, Dental, Life, Paid Time OffOpportunities for growth.
