The Cisco Licensing Support Lead (L2) is responsible for providing advanced technical support and operational oversight of Cisco licensing platforms, including Smart Licensing, Smart Accounts, and subscription-based systems. The role involves troubleshooting complex licensing issues, ensuring release readiness through end-to-end testing, and collaborating with network and infrastructure teams to align licensing with real-world deployments. The candidate will also drive analytics, reporting, and continuous improvement across Licensing Infrastructure & Operations (LIO).
Mandatory Requirements:
Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Smart Licensing, Smart Accounts, and CSSM
Proven experience in L2 support and escalation handling for licensing or network environments
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, firewall, proxy)
Experience with Cisco platforms such as Catalyst, Nexus, ISR/ASR, SD-WAN (Viptela), ASA/FTD, WLC
Expertise in troubleshooting license registration, synchronization, and compliance issues
Experience in test lifecycle management (test case creation, BAT/UAT execution, regression testing)
Strong knowledge of incident management, root cause analysis, and defect triage
Ability to coordinate release readiness activities (risk assessment, rollback, validation)
Experience with tools like JIRA, test repositories, dashboards, and reporting tools
Good to Have:
Cisco certifications (CCNA / CCNP / CCIE)
Experience with automation (Python, REST APIs, Postman)
Exposure to cloud/SaaS-based licensing models and subscription platforms
Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD pipelines and testing frameworks
Knowledge of data analytics, dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau)
ITIL certification or experience with ITSM processes
Experience working in large-scale enterprise or managed services environments
Understanding of network design, high availability, and feature licensing dependencies
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $35.43/hour - $55.37/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
