Dental TechnicianThe Dental Technician brings dental lablevel finishing expertise into a high precision manufacturing environment. As a member of the production CNC milling organization, this position is responsible for the post milling finishing stage, using hand finishing, blending, contouring, and surface refinement techniquesnot CNC machiningto ensure each component reaches its final specification. This role applies the craftsmanship of a dental technician within a structured production workflow, serving as the critical bridge between machined parts and final product quality.This position is part time, Monday - FridayAccountabilities:Perform precision finishing, blending, and surface refinement on small, high tolerance componentsFrequently handle and manipulate small components using a pinch or squeeze grip with the non-dominant hand across multiple production tasks.Operate small handheld power, impact, and vibratory tools with the dominant hand for brief durations, intermittently throughout the shift, to support product finishing and detailing.Perform technical tasks using foot pedal-operated handheld tools, assisting with material preparation and processingPerform maintenance activities for equipment according to procedures.Operate all secondary equipment as required (Furnace, UltraSonic Cleaner, Sandblaster, etc)Work as part of a team to improve manufacturing processes through KaizenPerform in-process inspection before hand-off to QC; may perform final QC as requiredIdentify and escalate issues such as quality concerns to direct manager and/or correct functionMaintains safety policies and procedures, including 5S initiatives and housekeepingAttend and participate in Safety Committees / Training as requiredOther finishing or finalizing duties as assigned by supervisor.Job Requirements:Critical Knowledge and Qualifications:High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experienceExperience working as a Dental Technician or experience working within similar or equivalent high-precision artistic manufacturing processGeneral understanding of dental anatomy requiredCertified Dental Technician (CDT) preferred but not requiredCritical Skills/technical know-how:Professional proficiency in English requiredProfessional proficiency in PC-standard software (MS-Office); basic knowledge of SAP preferredAbility to identify slight variances in color and hueMust have a strong attention to detailAbility to handle and manipulate small components using a pinch/squeeze grip with the non-dominant hand across multiple tasks performed frequently throughout the full duration of the shiftAbility to operate small handheld power, impact, or vibratory tools with the dominant hand for short durations, repeatedly throughout the full duration of the shiftAbility to sit for 8 hours during work shift with occasional breaks, willing to work overtime depending on business demandsAbility to see through and perform tasks using a microscopeAbility to operate equipment using a foot pedalCritical Experience:Minimum 2 years of experience as a Dental Technician and proven track record of successExperience working in more than one dental lab preferredExperience working in a regulated environment preferredCompetencies Essential for the rolePlans and AlignsCustomer FocusCollaboratesDrives ResultsArtistic abilityAbility to identify slight variances in colorCritical Success Factors and Key ChallengesDeep understanding of overall product or process when working on a specific taskSharing technical knowledge with others in the teamCompletion of assigned deliverables on time with minimal supervisionCommunicating proactively about developments or issues that affect their work, ability to be accountable$29.40 - $35.90 per hourOperating Company: Nobel Biocare
