This role is ideal for an experienced medical assistant who enjoys mentoring others, leading by example, and thriving in a fast-paced clinical environment. In addition to hands-on patient care, the Medical Assistant Lead supports daily operations, training, and workflow coordination to ensure high-quality, consistent care delivery.We are seeking a Medical Assistant Lead to join our dedicated team at Pinnacle Fertility - Illinois, located in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time, onsite position, working Monday-Friday, from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, travel to other clinics as needed for coverage.Key Responsibilities:Serve as a day-to-day resource and point person for the medical assistant team, supporting clinic operations and troubleshooting workflow or patient care issuesPrepare and room patients by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and relevant clinical information prior to provider encountersAssist providers with patient examinations, procedures, treatments, and care coordination in accordance with clinical protocolsDraw and collect blood samples, verify patient records, and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis as permitted by credential and trainingPrecept, train, and support new medical assistant team members during onboarding and orientationCoach and mentor team members to support skill development, performance, and adherence to best practicesAssist leadership with performance feedback, evaluations, and ongoing team developmentSupport daily scheduling of the medical assistant team to ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of careConduct on-the-job and role-specific training for new and existing team members and provide feedback on training effectivenessEnsure compliance with healthcare regulations, clinical policies, infection control standards, and ethical guidelinesMaintain clean, safe, and well-organized exam rooms and ensure medical equipment is functioning properlyMonitor, maintain, and restock clinical supplies to support uninterrupted patient carePromote a positive, collaborative work environment that supports teamwork, accountability, and patient-centered carePerform other duties and special projects as assignedPosition Requirements:Education & Licensure:High school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of a Medical Assistant program and an active Illinois state license highly preferredMaintain current BLS certification.Experience & Skills:3+ years of experience as a medical assistant requiredMinimum of 2 years fertility clinic experience preferredPhlebotomy experience requiredPrior experience mentoring, training, or acting in a lead capacity strongly preferredStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary clinical environmentHigh level of accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalismFlexibility:Must be flexible and available to travel to other clinic locations and provide coverage as needed.Compensation & Benefits:Hourly Rate: $24.00 - $27.00 (Final compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications.)Benefits Package: Comprehensive healthcare, dental, life, and vision insurance.
