Project Manager – Field OperationsJob Summary We are a small, extremely fast-paced company looking for a highly organized, dependable, and hands-on Project Manager who takes ownership of their work and takes pride in getting the job done right. This is a field-heavy, working Project Manager position. You will manage multiple active projects and crews while also performing field installations yourself when needed. You must be technically competent enough in the systems listed below to install, troubleshoot, and teach other employees on your team how to perform the work correctly to the standard our industry has come to know us for. Our home office is in Tracy, CA, but you will rarely need to report there, because approximately 90% of this position is field-based, with only about 10% being online/office work, which can be done remotely from your home. Responsibilities Manage multiple projects and field crews simultaneously. Perform hands-on field installations alongside your crews as needed. Train, teach, and develop employees in proper installation methods. Coordinate schedules, materials, equipment, and manpower to keep projects moving and under budget. Visit and work at job sites throughout the Bay Area. Communicate effectively with customers, employees, and subcontractors. Identify and solve problems quickly before they impact the project. Maintain high standards for workmanship, safety, organization, and job completion. Take personal ownership of every project and team under your supervision. Technical Experience Candidates should have strong hands-on installation and troubleshooting experience with: Locking hardware, including but not limited to cylindrical locks, mortise locks, panic hardware, and magnetic locks. Access control systems CCTV / video surveillance systems Intrusion detection systems Fiber optic systems – experience preferred, but not required. This position requires more than familiarity with these systems. You should be comfortable performing the work yourself and competent enough to teach, guide, and troubleshoot alongside the employees you manage. What We're Looking For Strong hands-on experience in security, low-voltage, access control, or related field installations. Previous project management or crew leadership experience. Excellent memory and exceptional multitasking skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and crews at the same time. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Dependable, accountable, and comfortable making decisions in the field. Someone who takes personal responsibility for their projects and crews. Someone who takes genuine pride in the quality of their work. Comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
