Ongoing training and collaborative support emphasize quality patient care and the growth of the overall Physical Therapy NOW brand.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physical Therapy Assistant role based in North Miami, FL. The Physical Therapy Assistant will support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal and functional conditions. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with patient evaluations under the direction of a Physical Therapist, implementing treatment plans, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, and monitoring patient response to care. The role includes preparing treatment areas, setting up equipment, tracking patient progress, and accurately documenting services in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements. The Physical Therapy Assistant will also educate patients on home exercise programs, support clinic workflow, coordinate with front office staff to maintain an efficient schedule, and contribute to a professional, welcoming patient experience.Qualifications Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Florida (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date).Foundational clinical skills in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy assistance, and functional mobility training under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.Strong skills in patient interaction, including clear communication, active listening, and the ability to motivate and coach individuals through treatment plans.Ability to accurately document patient treatments, progress notes, and outcomes in electronic or paper-based medical records, following clinic and regulatory standards.Solid understanding of basic anatomy, kinesiology, and common musculoskeletal and neurological conditions seen in outpatient physical therapy.Capability to follow established clinical protocols, uphold safety and infection-control procedures, and support consistent quality of care.Organizational skills to manage a caseload, assist with scheduling flow, and maintain treatment areas and equipment in a clean, ready-to-use condition.Collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with Physical Therapists, front office staff, and management to support overall clinic performance.Comfort working in a fast-paced outpatient setting, including the ability to stand, move, and assist patients safely throughout the workday.
