Procurement Specialist

Job Description We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to support purchasing activities for steel, fasteners, and other manufacturing materials. This role is well suited for someone with hands-on experience in a steel fabrication, fastener, or manufacturing environment who understands lead times, pricing volatility, and vendor coordination in a fast-paced setting.Key ResponsibilitiesSource and purchase steel, fasteners, and related manufacturing materialsManage vendor relationships and negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial termsIssue, track, and follow up on purchase orders to ensure on-time deliveryCoordinate closely with production and operations teams to support build schedulesMonitor inventory levels and assist with forecasting material requirementsResolve supplier issues related to shortages, delays, substitutions, or quality concernsMaintain accurate purchasing records, documentation, and ERP dataSupport cost control initiatives and continuous improvement effortsRequired QualificationsMinimum 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chainBackground in steel, fasteners, or manufacturing requiredWorking knowledge of lead times, material specifications, and vendor managementAbility to thrive in a fast-paced job shop or manufacturing environmentStrong communication, organization, and follow-up skillsProficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft ExcelWant to be considered for this opening immediately?
