About the Role: As our Controller, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, playing a pivotal role in driving continued success. You'll be responsible for managing the accounting and reporting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including monthly and year-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance. Manage cash flow, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and accurate forecasting. Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets. Lead the selection and implementation of a new ERP system, ensuring seamless integration and data migration. Develop and maintain accurate project-level cost accounting, utilizing Percentage of Completion (POC) methods. Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insights to management and private equity stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and drive efficiency. Manage and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Proven experience in a controller or senior accounting role, preferably within the construction, landscaping, or related industry. Strong knowledge of Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting methods. Experience with ERP system implementation and management (experience with Service Titan, Aspire, or similar). Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Bonus Qualifications: Experience with private equity-backed companies. CPA certification.
