Mechanic - 3rd Shift

The Mechanic is essential to the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and testing of electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, generators, and rotating equipment that power critical, heavy industry applications.Key Responsibilities: Inspection & DisassemblyDisassemble and inspect electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, generators, and related equipmentIdentify mechanical and electrical issues through thorough troubleshootingInspect armatures, stators, bearings, housings, and windings for wear, damage, or electrical faults Repair & RebuildClean, repair, or replace components such as bearings, windings, brushes, shafts, seals, and other mechanical partsPerform bearing replacements and shaft repairsConduct dynamic balancing and testing of rebuilt motorsReassemble motors and equipment according to specifications, ensuring proper alignment, torque, and tolerances Documentation & QualityMaintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor timeEnsure all work meets company quality standards and safety regulationsMaintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay (based on experience)401(k) with company matchingHealth benefits including Vision and DentalLife InsurancePaid Time OffSkills & CompetenciesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAnalytical and problem-solving capabilitiesStrong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical systemsSkilled in the use of hand and power toolsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsProficiency with precision measuring instrumentsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to operate a forklift (or willingness to be trained)Commitment to company policies, procedures, and safety standardsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredTechnical or vocational training preferredMinimum of two (2) years of hands-on mechanic experience preferredEqual Opportunity EmployerWe are an EOE employer and encourage applications from minorities, females, veterans, and individuals with disabilities.This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
