Selects, trains, orients, motivates and oversees the work of staff by using effective strategies and resources to recognize and retain staffOversight and management of 6 Foster Care Case Managers and their assigned caseloads. Supervision of approximately 90 youth in foster careIdentifies skills and aptitude of staff and assist in their career developmentUtilizes the performance management process (PMP) to coach, counsel and evaluate employee performance in a respectful and timely mannerProvides challenging assignments and commits the time and attention required to facilitate the learning, growth, and development of staffAssures maintenance of electronic case files by unit staffAdvocates on behalf of children and families to ensure access to needed services and support in the communityAttends and participates in monthly department team and management meetingsProvides backup case management services when unit staff are unavailable including afterhours emergencies that may ariseSeeks community resources to meet the needs of children and familiesMonitors all case management activities to assure compliance with Children's Divisions policy and proceduresProvides feedback and education regarding written reports of assigned staff for the purpose of court hearingsFacilitates professional family meetings in coordination with assigned case staffMediates any initial family complaints or grievances to encourage positive resolutionEnsures timely and accurate documentation of case related activities through the State FACES database systemMaintains expert knowledge of the laws, rules and policy requirements of the State of Missouri that regulate the practice of Missouri's child welfare system.Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of child welfare experience requiredMaster's Degree preferredMust possess demonstrated skills in assessing family dynamics, situationally counseling/crisis intervention, case management, and have previous supervisory experience.Must have a clean driving record and applicable vehicle insurance.Job RequirementsApplicable Experience:3-5 yearsMaster's Degree - Social WorkJob DetailsFull TimeDay (United States of America)The best place to get care.
