Supervisor duties range from periods of physical inactivity to situations requiring extreme physical exertion and exposure to danger. Additionally, Security Supervisors are responsible for documentation for their respective hosts.Roles & Responsibilities:Supervisory Duties:Supervise the daily operations of the Security team and any other assigned departmentsLead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Lake Compounce’s core valuesAct as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned hostsBecome knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all security positions and backfill these positions when neededParticipate in all aspects of supervision of assigned employees, including training, performance coaching, and disciplineEnsure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with Connecticut lawAssist with team scheduling and timekeeping activitiesDepartmental Duties:Maintain constant vigilance while the park is operating to identify any potential issues or safety concerns communicate any potential issues to other departments and/or leadership in a timely mannerMaintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guestsMonitor guest safety and communicate conflicts to supervisors on dutyHandle elevated guest complaints or conflicts that occur on the propertyApprove and send incident reports to the proper channelsAct as a first responder at the scene of accidents or crimes secures scene, provides emergency CPR/AED and first aidTake control of emergency and intense situations while remaining calmProfessionally manage crowd control during emergency situationsContact local law enforcement personnel when circumstances warrantExercise clear and concise communications with all park departmentsEnforce the parking lot rules and regulationsRespond to routine and emergency calls throughout the park propertyAssist in safety prevention efforts, including responding to all safety calls, fire alarms, and emergenciesUtilize electronic card access, closed circuit television, and other audio/visual monitoring systems, monitors and supervises the response to all reports or irregular conditions, including the unauthorized entry of persons or vehicles to protected buildings and areas, breaches of perimeter security or any other suspicious activities occurring on the propertyEnforce all Park rules and regulationsAll other duties assigned by leadershipEducation And Experience:Connecticut Guard Card is requiredHigh School diploma, GED, or equivalent Equivalent work experience will also be consideredCollege degree in Criminal Justice or related discipline desired Equivalent work experience will be considered2-3 years of previous security, criminal justice, or related experience highly desiredCPR/AED and First Aid Certification preferred but not requiredLanguage: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Connecticut Child Labor LawsAbility to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysMust be able to work third shift (overnight) if the park security operates on a 24-hour scheduleMust have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shiftMust possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving recordAbility to safely and efficiently operate motorized vehicles and equipmentAbility to comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructionsAbility to apply knowledge of modern security methods, procedures, interviewing, listening, observation, and note-taking techniques for specific situationsMust possess solid knowledge and understanding of the constitutional rights of citizens.Must possess working knowledge of proper investigation principles, practices, and reporting techniques.Ability to deal fairly, objectively, and courteously with the public without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, or political beliefsAbility to analyze people and/or situations quickly and calmly and take appropriate actions in a quick and effective mannerAbility to operate a variety of electronic equipment, such as cameras, radios, personal computers, or other communication devicesAbility to professionally and calmly deal with stressful and/or tense situationsAbility to collaborate with other team members, external first responders, and emergency personnel during emergency situationsMust possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional mannerAbility to maintain certifications as required by assignmentPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workdayAbility to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shouldersAbility to walk, stand, or run on uphill, downhill, or uneven surfaces.Ability to remain sedentary for extended periods of time, while using a computer/camera equipmentAbility to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or moreMust have good visual acuity, night vision, and peripheral vision.Ability to see details of objects that are more than a few feet awayWorking Conditions:This role will be based in both an office setting as well as frequent exposure to all other indoor and outdoor park environmentsFrequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, snow, ice, and other weather conditionsSubject to dark environments, particularly during midnight shiftSubject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, and heavily populated environmentsSubject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activitiesTeam Member
