The Manager will assist in estimating jobs, allocating manpower, and improving the profitability of maintenance and repair jobs.Responsibilities And DutiesSupervises Service Technicians' direction and training, and communicates company policies, procedures, and objectivesAdministers company safety program, which includes performing safety audits, when necessary, and stressing the importance of safety to all employeesVisits job sites and performs quality audits to ensure route work is completed efficiently and cost effectivelyIdentifies issues that could potentially affect the overall reliability of the customer’s equipmentUses company financial reporting to review route management and callbacksMakes necessary changes to improve profitabilityProvides technical input to sales staff on the scope of work and materials needed to bid repair work. Includes calculating labor and materials costsEnforces Cancellation Reduction Program.Works with General Manager and Sales team to address customer’s needsMaintains up-to-date knowledge of all federal, state, and local elevator industry code requirementsMaintains strong familiarity of industry products by reviewing equipment updates and supplier goodsAdministers parts program for contract service and repair to meet budget expectations and customer satisfactionManages the elevator repair process and ensures repairs are completed in an efficient and cost-effective mannerOther duties as assigned by the General ManagerQualifications And SkillsThorough knowledge of the elevator industry and general management methods within the elevator industryEither a bachelor’s degree, two years' experience managing a branch department, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsAbility to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variablesBenefits And PerksTop Pay in the industryLow health insurance cost for dependent and family coverage401(k) match toward your retirement accountPerformance Incentive Based Pay
