We’re looking for people who want to work in a collaborative, fast-moving environment where their ideas can make a real impact.About The RoleWe’re seeking a highly skilled Controller to lead and own our financial infrastructure as we scale. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity of our financial statements and driving strategic insights through robust analysis. This role oversees accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls and compliance. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and analytical. The candidate is experienced in creating processes from scratch and managing the monthly close process and financial forecasting. This position will report directly to the CFO. This position is hybrid, but we will consider strong applicants for a remote work environment.What You'll Be DoingOwn and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting with clear visibility into performance and cash flowManage AP/AR, payroll, accruals, account reconciliations and tax filingsLead the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis and identifying cost-saving and optimization opportunitiesDeliver financial analysis and reporting to support leadership decision-makingMaintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial proceduresPartner with cross-functional teams to support procurement, billing, pricing and gather financial inputs to support business planningSupport audit processes and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirementsDrive expense reduction initiatives through detailed financial analysis, budget variance review, and process improvements across departments to improve cost discipline and forecast accuracyPrepare ad-hoc financial reports and models as neededWhat You'll BringBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred7+ years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role Experience in a high-growth startup environmentSelf-starter with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication and presentation skillsStrong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirementsStrong understanding of financial planning and analysis (FP&A)Proven experience with monthly close and budgeting processesProficient in Excel/Google Sheets, NetSuite and financial tools (bill.com, expensify, etc.)What Makes You a Strong CandidateCPA or MBA Experience developing and growing a teamPassionate about making an impactBenefits 100% covered medical, dental, and vision for the employee (partner, children, or family is additional) Commuter Benefits Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Life Insurance Short- and Long-Term Disability 401k Plan Stock Options Collaborative work environment, working alongside a passionate, mission-driven team!Our interview process is generally conducted in three (3) phases: Phone Screen with People Operations (30 minutes)Video Interview with the Hiring Manager (30 to 45 minutes) Panel Interview (in-person interviews scheduled with key stakeholders, each interview will be 30 to 45 minutes)The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000 to $175,000 + equity + benefits + unlimited PTOThe range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, internal equity, and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or specialty training.
