Deposit Operations Specialist

The primary responsibility of the Deposit Operations Specialist is to ensure efficient and accurate completion of assigned tasks by assisting in the management of, and actively participating in, the day-to-day activities assigned to the Deposit Operations department. Performs all tasks in compliance with established Bank policies and procedures, with all applicable Federal and State laws, and in particular, with all rules and regulations related to the privacy of non-pubic personal information, the Bank Secrecy Act, and Fair Lending. Essential Responsibilities 1. Provides prompt and courteous responses to inquiries from internal and external customers. Assists in problem resolution, research requests, online banking support, and debit card programs. 2. Provides direct customer assistance with online banking, business online banking, wires, ACH, remote deposit capture, debit card inquiries, and other cash management products, as well as general account assistance. 3. Accurately and efficiently processes and logs all incoming and outgoing wire transfer transactions to include OFAC screening. 4. Performs additional daily tasks, to include non-post items, returned deposited checks, ACH entries, debit card transactions, account maintenance, and bill payment transactions. 5. Completes a daily review of all Director reports as assigned in the deposit operations, debit card, and online banking queries. Assists the Deposit Operations Manager to resolve any exceptions. 6. Creates new Business Online Banking client profiles in Access Manager, and adds or maintains various cash management products and services as approved by Bank management. 7. Assists with employee training in relation to operations activities, online banking, debit card processing, and BSA, as requested by Bank management. 8. Monitors cash transactions, wire transfers, negotiable instruments, subpoenas (and similar requests), and electronic banking activity to identify unusual activity. 9. Creates a supportive environment, helping staff to develop their skills in order to better contribute to the success of the department. Criteria for Deposit Operations Specialist 1. Bachelor’s degree, or a minimum of two years banking, mortgage or business analysis experience. 2. Working knowledge of financial services and intellectual curiosity to better understand how systems and processes work. 3. Ability to analyze and resolve problems. 4. Proactive individual able to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 5. Ability to handle sensitive or confidential matters with discretion and privacy.
