The team is small (~6 engineers) and collaborates deeply with a product prototyping team.What You'll DoPrototype new model architectures for Pinterest Canvas (text-to-image diffusion models).Read research papers and contribute to visual generative strategy.Collect and curate visual training data (RLHF, fine-tuning).Publish work via conferences, papers, and blog posts.Mentor junior researchers/interns.What We're Looking ForExperience with generative computer vision models (preferably diffusion models).5+ years industry experience in computer vision.M.S. or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related field.Nice To HavePublications at top ML conferences.Experience with AI coding assistants (Cursor, Copilot, Codex) and LLM-powered productivity tools.Compensation & BenefitsBase salary: $161,263 - $332,012 USD (US-based applicants only)Equity eligibleBenefits available (link provided in original description)OtherNot eligible for relocation assistance.In-person collaboration 1-2 times/quarter, can be located anywhere in the US.Equal opportunity employer.
