AHL provides services for projects in all market sectors including high-rise residential, commercial mixed-use, healthcare, education, hospitality, retail, industrial, institutional, and military.AHL’s office in downtown Honolulu is seeking a Project Architect with Department of Defense (DoD) experience to join our highly creative and collaborative team. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for management, team, and consultant coordination, and oversight of production and design of Department of Defense (DoD) and non-DoD projects.education‍Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university required.Minimum of ten (10) years substantial experience in all phases of architecture, including five (5) years of substantial project architect and management experience on DoD projects.Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university required.Minimum of ten (10) years substantial experience in all phases of architecture, including five (5) years of substantial project architect and management experience on DoD projects.Architectural registration required.Substantial knowledge of DoD procedures for design, management, and production of production of construction and design development documents.Thorough knowledge of architectural planning, detailing, drafting, construction materials and methods.Working knowledge of related engineering principles and building codes.Proficiency in CAD. Revit and/or 3-D software program experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Manages technical direction, coordination, and production of DoD projects including non-DoD work as office workloads may change.Oversees design development and construction documents.Coordinates design of the project with both outside consultants and in-house project teams.Coordinates all design and technical details.Designs and develops technical design concepts, plans, elevations, sections, and details.Manages the preparation of design drawings by other designers. Reviews documents for code compliance. Assists with design and production relating to more complicated areas of construction documents and aids in solutions to general architectural problems.Acts as job captain in the absence of this position.Salary Range $92,000 to $114,000
