As an Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring that construction projects meet design specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations while fostering trust with clients, contractors, and the publicWhat are the core responsibilities for the role?Perform daily field inspections of construction projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes and regulationsMonitor contractor activities for quality, safety, and adherence to project schedulesDocument and report inspection findings, including detailed daily reports, photos, and field notesCoordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve issues and maintain project progressVerify materials, workmanship, and construction methods meet required standardsIdentify and communicate deficiencies or non-compliant work and track corrective actionsAttend project meetings and provide updates on inspection activities and project statusEnsure proper implementation of traffic control, environmental controls, and safety proceduresMaintain accurate records of quantities, progress, and completed work for payment verificationQualifications, Skills, and Competencies: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferredRelevant inspection certifications (e.g., ATSSA TC Supervisor, WPCM, ACI Grade I (preferred)) or ability to obtain within a specified timeframePrevious experience in construction inspection, civil engineering, or related field preferredStrong knowledge of construction practices, materials, and safety standardsAbility to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and technical documentsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office and field reporting software · Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as neededThis position requires the operation of a company vehicle. All candidates must hold a valid driver’s license and will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check. Employment is contingent upon meeting Horrocks' Fleet & Safety minimum requirements.
