We are actively searching for an Assistant Controller in the Bowie MD area for an ultra-high end custom estate contractor. This client isn't just known for building houses, but curating legacies. They pride themselves on unparalleled craftsmanship and sophisticated project management. Now looking for an Assistant Controller who is as precise with numbers as their artisans are with their craft.The RoleWhether you are a rising accounting professional or a seasoned Construction Project Accountant, this role is about ownership. You will support the Controller in managing the financial heartbeat of multi-million dollar residential estates. You'll ensure every dollar is accounted for, every vendor is managed, and every project remains financially sound.ResponsibilitiesProject Lifecycle Finance: Manage job costing, progress billings, and budget-to-actual analysis for high-end custom builds.Precision Accounting: Oversee AP/AR, monthly closings, and financial reporting with meticulous attention to detail.Strategic Support: Act as a financial partner to Project Managers, helping them navigate the complexities of luxury construction costs.Audit & Compliance: Ensure all project documentation, insurance, and lien waivers are airtight.RequirementsExperienced: You have a solid foundation in accounting (Construction experience or a CPA track is a major plus).Adaptable: You can speak "numbers" with the Controller and "dirt" with the Site Superintendent.Discreet: You understand the level of confidentiality required when working with high-net-worth clientele.Tech-Savvy: You are proficient in construction accounting software (e.g., Sage, Procore, or Vista).For more information or immediate consideration, please contact Mike Murphy at mike@csrecruiting.com or apply directly to this posting.
