This role is ideal for an experienced planner who enjoys managing multidisciplinary projects, collaborating with public agencies, and mentoring staff while contributing to business growth.What You’ll DoManage and deliver transportation planning projects such as corridor studies, multimodal plans, active transportation plans, transit studies, safety studies, and long‑range transportation plansServe as a primary client contact for public-sector agencies (municipalities, MPOs, counties, DOTs)Coordinate with internal disciplines including engineering, environmental, GIS, and public engagement teamsLead project schedules, budgets, and scope; ensure quality control and on-time deliveryPrepare and review technical memoranda, reports, grant applications, and planning documentsSupport public engagement efforts including stakeholder meetings, workshops, and public presentationsMentor junior planning staff and support their professional developmentContribute to proposals, scope development, and business development effortsWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related fieldAICP certification7+ years of professional experience in planning rolesDemonstrated experience managing transportation or mobility-focused planning projectsStrong understanding of public-sector transportation processes, policies, and fundingExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skillsExperience with MPO planning, DOT coordination, or federal/state transportation programsFamiliarity with multimodal planning, Complete Streets, safety planning, or active transportationExperience supporting grant writing or discretionary funding programs (e.g., federal or state grantsSalary RangeThe starting compensation range for this position is $100,000 with final compensation determined based on years of experience, qualifications, and licensing status.BenefitsFlexible Work Environment Paid Parental Leave Medical Dental Vision Life and AD&D Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off + HolidaysVerdantas strives to develop new ways to increase diversity awareness within our organization.
