This role requires experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural systems while ensuring all equipment meets DOT and safety compliance standards.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesInspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on trailersPerform preventive maintenance (PM) and routine trailer servicingRepair or replace brake systems, suspensions, axles, landing gear, and wheel-end componentsTroubleshoot and repair lighting systems, wiring, and electrical componentsComplete frame, body, and structural repairs, including welding and fabricationConduct DOT inspections and ensure all work meets regulatory and company standardsUse diagnostic tools, equipment, and repair manuals to identify issuesDocument all repairs and maintain accurate work orders in the maintenance systemMaintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environmentCommunicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding repair needsRequired QualificationsExperience as a Trailer Technician, Trailer Mechanic, Diesel Technician, Fleet Technician, or similar roleStrong mechanical aptitude with hands‑on experience in trailer repair and maintenanceKnowledge of brake systems, suspension systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and DOT requirementsAbility to use shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding/fabrication toolsAbility to lift, move, and work with heavy equipment and trailer componentsStrong problem‑solving skills and attention to detailCommitment to a safe work environment and regulatory compliancePreferred QualificationsWelding and fabrication experiencePrevious experience in the transportation, trucking, or fleet maintenance industry strongly preferredExperience working with multiple trailer types (dry van, flatbed, reefer, utility, etc.) strongly preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced shop environmentWhy Work With UsIndustry‑leading tools, equipment, and supportOpportunities for growth, technical training, and career advancementWork with a trusted leader in the transportation and fleet service industryBenefitsWe believe in rewarding our employees for their exceptional skills and dedication.
