The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with a proven track record in managing all phases of clinical-stage programs, particularly in the early stage through Phase 2. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and organizational skills to lead cross-functional teams and drive therapeutic candidates toward regulatory approval and commercialization. The VP will be responsible for the successful execution of clinical development programs, overseeing project management from strategic planning to operational execution, and ensuring that clinical trials are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards. Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Portfolio and Program Management include developing and maintaining an integrated, data-driven portfolio strategy, leading portfolio review processes, and evaluating and prioritizing internal programs and external opportunities. The role also involves overseeing key development programs, driving the creation and execution of integrated, cross-functional program plans, and maintaining transparent reporting systems. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in a scientific or medical discipline relevant to drug development, with at least 15 years of experience in biotech or pharma, and a strong background in the therapeutic areas of inflammation, fibrosis, immunology, and/or neurosciences. Experience in managing programs from Pre-IND through Phase 3 registrational trials is essential, and a background in pulmonary fibrosis is viewed positively. The VP will be expected to build and mentor a high-performing PPM function, implement best practices, and champion a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration across the organization.Travel PercentLess than 10%FunctionsOperations
