Senior Software Developer

Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is seeking a Senior Software Developer within the Business Applications team. You will work on X-ES’ critical information systems. In this role, you will design and implement functionality that improves the productivity and quality of life of your fellow co-workers and have a direct impact on the company’s engineering, manufacturing and financial success.Duties And ResponsibilitiesBecome a subject matter expert in the manufacturing, accounting, sales and other business domains your software supportsFulfill the needs of your stakeholders by implementing user stories as high quality, well-tested and maintainable codeBe a proactive participant in team ceremonies such as iteration planning, iteration review, and internal/external demosHelp your team to continuously improve by contributing to tooling, documentation and development practicesParticipate in end-user support rotation, troubleshooting production issues and triaging bug reportsMentor and provide technical guidance to other developers on the teamMaintain robust internal technical documentation and external end-user documentationRequired QualificationsMinimum of seven (7) years of experience writing production code in a professional settingStrong proficiency in PythonExperience writing unit tests and maintaining a large test suiteExperience with Object Relational Mapping (ORMs)Proficient knowledge PostgreSQLComfortable with Docker and container-based workflowsExperience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WIDesired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related fieldPrevious development experience with Odoo or other ERP platformsAPI design and systems integration experienceAnsible (or similar) infrastructure-as-code platformsExperience deploying and operating software in a primarily on-prem environmentCompensation And BenefitsExtreme Engineering Solutions offers a competitive compensation package excellent benefits, including:No-deductible, low-copay group health and dental insurance (90% employer paid)Life insurance and long-term disability insurance (100% employer paid)Paid time off, plus eight paid holidays a yearSafe Harbor 401(k) contributionParticipation in the employee stock ownership plan (ESOP)X-ES also takes a casual, small-business approach to company culture.
