CNC Programmer 1

Description: Job Summary: The CNC Programmer 1 is responsible for using CAD software to convert fabrication drawings into machinable parts on the CNC machines (punch press, laser, and press brake). Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties/Responsibilities: Read technical drawings and convert 2D and 3D drawings into mechanical components on the CNC machines (punch press, laser, and press brake machines) Recommend scheduled machine runs to provide the highest output of production Verify cutting tools and cutting sequences Complete all production, programming, and quality control documentation, as required Operate the CNC machines as needed. Complete other related duties as assigned Requirements: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong attention to detail and ability to peform work accurately Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Proficient with CAD Software and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) Experience/Education: High School Diploma or equivalent 3+ years’ experience in a related field Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Able to traverse production floor as needed Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection while working on the production floor
