Join our team and contribute to a tradition of excellence and enthusiasm for the open road.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role located in Willow Street, PA, for a Motorcycle Service Technician at Lancaster Harley-Davidson. The role involves performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and repairing Harley-Davidson motorcycles to the highest professional standards. The technician will also assist with field service operations and interact with customers to ensure satisfaction by providing clear updates and high-quality service.QualificationsProficiency in Maintenance & Repair, including servicing Harley-Davidson motorcycles and ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.Strong Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve technical and mechanical issues effectively.Experience with Field Service operations, including on-site assessments and support as needed.Exceptional Customer Service skills, including clear communication and the ability to build trust and rapport with clients.Basic or advanced knowledge of Harley-Davidson motorcycle systems and components is a strong plus.Technical certification in motorcycle repair or mechanics preferred but not required.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and meet service deadlines.Valid motorcycle license and a commitment to safety standards.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesService Department Operations· Provide prompt, dependable, high quality, vehicle service to (internal & external) customers.Complete repair work within the scheduled or allotted time period whenever possibleContinually improve this “efficiency” skill.· Maintain productivity (time spent working on billable jobs) as close to 100% as possible.· Accept work assignments from Service Writer/Manager.· Request parts for the job as early as possible when needs become known.· Perform service, repair, and customization work in accordance with factory specifications.· Assist Service Writer, when requested, writing up work orders, communication with customers, test riding, or any other issue which will help ensure customer satisfaction.· Notify Service Writer/Manager of additional work needed or any delays in expected completion as soon as they become known so that customer may be contacted and notified of the delay.· After the job is finished, ensure proper completion and filing of paperwork.· Keep work areas as clean as possible and assist others with maintaining shop cleanliness.· Maintain technical (PHD and other) qualification by completing any necessary training programs assigned to you by the Service Manager.Customer Service· Minimize come backs and deal with them promptly and satisfactorily when they do occur.· Keep customers’ vehicle cleaner than when it was dropped off.Qualifications & Job Requirements· Completion of a factory authorized training program such MMI Service School or at least 3 years of motorcycle tech experience· Current Motorcycle license.· Service Technicians need both basic and special tools to properly diagnose and service our products.
