Overview Ladyfish is a high-energy, seasonal seafood pop-up coming to Portland’s Old Port this spring. A collaboration between Jordan Rubin (Food & Wine 2025 Best New Chef) and James Beard-nominated Chef Christine Lau, Ladyfish occupies the former Bar Futo space for a limited summer run (May-October). Our menu will blend approachable seafood classics with Chef Lau’s expertise in Chinese, Italian, and Latin American cuisines, utilizing exceptional Maine-sourced ingredients. We are looking for a bartender who is passionate about hospitality and excited to serve a menu that is both familiar and innovative. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options, following all safety and quality standards. Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their dining or nightlife experience. Manage Toast POS systems for accurate order processing and cash handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed. Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking supplies to ensure smooth service throughout shifts. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and retail math calculations for sales and tips. Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers during busy hours to coordinate service seamlessly in both fine dining and nightclub settings. Qualifications 2+ years experience as a bartender in fast paced, high volume environments. Familiarity with Toast POS systems is a plus. Beer, wine, cocktail knowledge. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume shifts. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally. Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and alcohol serving regulations. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales tracking. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced setting. Available May-October Pay: From $8.00 per hour Work Location: In person
