Who Are We? Code Ninjas is one of the nation’s fastest-growing kids’ coding franchises, with more than 400 locations across the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. At Code Ninjas Tulsa, children ages 5–14 learn to code in a fun and welcoming environment by building video games, exploring technology, and completing hands-on STEM projects. Kids have a blast and can’t wait to come back. Parents see their children build confidence while developing valuable skills in coding, math, logic, creativity, and problem-solving. Our core promise is simple: *Kids have fun. Parents see results.®* About the Role As a Code Sensei, you are more than a supervisor—you are a mentor, coach, and positive role model. You will guide our Ninjas through engaging activities while helping create a safe, supportive, and memorable experience. You’ll interact with Ninjas throughout each shift, keep them engaged, encourage friendships and teamwork, and help them grow their confidence and technical skills. Required Skills and Experience Candidates should have experience with a combination of the following: * Scratch or block-based coding * Roblox or Minecraft modding * VEX Robotics * 3D design and printing using Tinkercad Sensei Qualities * Energetic and able to remain engaged throughout the entire shift * Experience working with children ages 5–14 preferred * Enthusiastic, responsible, dependable, and consistent * Calm, flexible, and level-headed * Strong communication and presentation skills * Passionate about working with children and creating a positive learning environment * Comfortable learning new programs and technology Sensei ResponsibilitiesLead and Support Ninjas * Supervise groups of 10 or more Ninjas while maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment * Provide guidance and individualized support based on each Ninja’s needs * Encourage teamwork, friendships, creativity, and confidence * Use proactive and positive behavior-management strategies Deliver the Code Ninjas Experience * Collaborate with fellow Senseis to deliver Code Ninjas’ project-based STEM curriculum * Guide Ninjas through coding, game development, robotics, and creative problem-solving activities * Help prepare materials and ensure the Dojo is ready for each activity * Assist Ninjas when they become stuck while encouraging them to think independently Lead Engaging Activities * Plan, prepare, and lead activities with the Code Ninjas team * Lead Ninjas through games, challenges, and group activities * Bring enthusiasm and positive energy to every shift * Contribute to a fun, memorable, and welcoming Dojo culture Provide an Exceptional Customer Experience * Greet Ninjas and their families warmly * Follow all check-in and check-out procedures to maintain safety and efficiency * Communicate professionally with parents and guardians as needed * Share Ninja accomplishments and positive experiences with families Benefits of Working at Code Ninjas * *Build real-world skills:* Strengthen your creativity, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership abilities * *Gain leadership experience:* Lead groups, make decisions, and positively influence young learners * *Make a difference:* Inspire the next generation of coders, creators, and innovators * *Build connections:* Develop professional relationships with team members, families, and members of the community * *Enjoy a fun work environment:* Spend your shifts helping kids explore coding, gaming, robotics, and technology *Schedule:* Our Dojo is open: * Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 3:00–7:00 PM * Select Friday Game Nights from 7:00–9:00 PM * Closed Sunday and Wednesday Availability during afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays is required.
