When we contribute to the company's success, we all win.In our organization, the Designer Draftsman II has a critical and challenging role in helping achieve innovation and meeting our commitments.POSITION SUMMARY:With minimal supervision, use AutoCAD to produce complete detailed drawingsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Use AutoCAD to produce final drawings from marked-up drawings, sketches or written instructionsUse AutoCAD to detail OSI-Arlington product linesBecome familiar with product inspection tools and measurement of actual parts to produce drawingsUse electronic document control system for logging in and checking out drawingsOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain competency in the drafting tools and techniques used to produce drawingsBecome proficient with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and current drafting standardsBecome familiar with other drafting packages, such as Inventor and Solid WorksProvide guidance and technical support to CAD Operator-IReview and check drawings produced by CAD Operator-IProvide drafting support as requested by peers, engineers and project managersPerform other duties assigned by supervisor or lead draftspersonQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSAssociates degree or drafting certificate with at least 2-4 years of drafting experience; or at least 4 years of related experience without a degree; or at least 5 years of related experience without a certificateIntimate knowledge of AutoCADBasic math skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is desirablePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Prolonged sitting.Moderate bending.CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS -By contractual requirements this position requires that all persons establish proof of US Citizenship.
