This position requires a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in full-stack software development, cloud-based application architecture, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into efficient, scalable technical solutions.The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS services, ESRI geospatial technologies, and experience leveraging AI tools like Claude for development productivity. This role requires analytical skills, technical leadership, and experience working in Agile environments to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business and technical standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze complex system requirements and design cloud-native software solutions in AWSDevelop and maintain geospatial applications using ESRI technologies (map creation, geocoding)Leverage Claude and other AI tools to enhance development productivity and code qualityWork with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code and ECS for containerized deploymentsWrite clean, efficient code following best practices and develop comprehensive documentationDevelop frontend applications using AngularManage software configuration in GitLab and optimize applications for cloud performanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologiesConduct testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure qualitySupport production systems and troubleshoot issuesWork ExperienceSoftware Development: Minimum 7 years of programmer/analyst experience developing software according to SDLCs with proven track record delivering complex applicationsAWS & Modern Tools: Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with AWS services and modern web frameworks; experience with Angular, .Net, ECS, and TerraformAI-Assisted Development: Experience using Claude or similar AI tools (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) to enhance development productivity, code generation, and problem-solvingGeospatial Development: Experience with ESRI technologies (ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server, or similar, APIs) developing interactive maps and geocoding functionalityTechnical Analysis: Strong analytical skills with experience in system analysis, design, and translating business requirements into technical solutionsDatabase Experience: Knowledge of relational and NoSQL database development, design, and optimizationTeam Leadership: Experience providing technical direction and ensuring project deadlines are metTechnical Skills Bachelor s degree in computer science or related IT field, or equivalent experienceDevelopment Languages & Frameworks:Strong programming skillsProficiency in Angular for frontend developmentExperience with modern web development practicesAWS & Infrastructure:AWS services (ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway)Terraform for Infrastructure as CodeContainerization with Docker and ECSUnderstanding of cloud-native architecture patternsAI Tools:Experience using Claude for development tasks (code generation, debugging, documentation)Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflowsExperience with prompt engineering for development use casesESRI: ArcGIS platform, JavaScript API, geocoding services, spatial analysis, integration with AWSDevOps & Tools:GitLab for version control and CI/CDExperience with GitLab pipelinesAgile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)Proficiency in creating technical documentation (data flow diagrams, architecture documentation)AWS certifications are a plus
