Business Law Franchise Paralegal

We are seeking a paralegal to join our Business Law Group in supporting our franchise attorneys with respect to corporate governance and the franchise disclosure and registration process. This position is open to all office locations. Responsibilities: Prepare and transmit franchise registration filings including determination of required fees. Monitor franchise agreement expiration and renewal dates, process renewal applications and prepare renewal franchise agreements. Prepare and transmit franchise disclosure documents, including annual updates. Gather information necessary to draft and edit franchise registration and disclosure documents. Check status of franchiser trademark registrations with the USPTO as necessary. Maintain close contact with clients during the registration and renewal process. Work with attorneys on other types of franchise agreements as needed. Qualifications: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in a large law firm or in-house corporate law department with substantive experience in franchise disclosure and registration and corporate governance. Experience in preparing initial drafts of applications and franchise disclosure documents, collecting information from franchise sellers, and working with state franchise administrators. Strong sense of client service and a commitment to being part of a great team. Ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task to complete projects effectively and efficiently. Strong Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, and general computer skills. Experience creating and using document automation templates (e.g. HotDocs) would be a plus. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential. Compensation is determined upon the market in which the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience, education and skills of the applicant, and other job-related factors. The range for this position for individuals physically located in Denver is $65,000 to $120,000. The range for this position for individuals physically located in Washington D.C. is $70,000 to $130,000. The range for this position for individuals physically located in San Diego is $33.66 to $62.50 per hour.
