Senior DevOps Engineer

At The ReWork Group, we partner with high-growth startups and forward-thinking companies to build the future.Own the infrastructure eCommerce leaders bet their business on.As our client's Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll own the systems that keep their platform running at enterprise scale, the cloud infrastructure that retailers trust with their most critical data and decision-making. When it has to be secure, scalable, and relentlessly reliable, that's you.This is a hands-on, high-ownership role. You'll work shoulder to shoulder with backend and ML engineers, and you'll be the person who turns "move fast without breaking things" from a slogan into a reality. You believe in GitOps, infrastructure as code, and systems that let engineering teams ship with confidence.You'll make that real.What You'll Do:Architect and build secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/Terragrunt) on AWS.Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines — and convert manual processes into automated, repeatable workflows.Own production reliability — stand up observability stacks, define SLIs/SLOs, and lead incident response.Implement and champion GitOps workflows for every infrastructure deployment.Build compliance-ready infrastructure (SOC 2, GDPR) with IAM best practices and tight secrets management.Optimize cloud costs without giving up performance or reliability at scale.Create developer tooling and documentation that accelerates engineering workflows across the team.Mentor and set direction — level up teammates on DevOps best practices and help guide infrastructure strategy.What You'll Bring:You have 5+ years of DevOps experienceYou've managed cloud infrastructure in production for 4+ years — AWS strongly preferred.You have 2+ years of production Kubernetes experience (EKS preferred).You're deeply proficient in Terraform/Terragrunt and Infrastructure-as-Code principles.You have strong scripting skills in Python and Bash — you automate everything you can.You've worked with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).You bring a security-first mindset and experience implementing compliance frameworks.
