Document Services Assistant
The Document Services Assistant provides administrative support to department management as well as supplemental document support for projects submitted to the team. DSAs will receive ongoing training on the types of work handled by the department, gaining foundational knowledge and experience in a variety of applications and administrative practices. DSAs may be coached toward either an operator- or a proofreader-focused skillset.
A qualified candidate must be organized, exhibit a high degree of initiative and use excellent judgment when handling matters. The position requires strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, a professional, team-oriented work ethic, and flexibility in availability (overtime may be requested).
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external clients.
Schedule appointments/meetings (including Zoom/MS Teams) using the MS Outlook calendar.
For Operator-track DSAs:
Create/revise documents using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and possibly Visio).
Learn and apply firm styles and formatting in Word.
Create/revise PDFs using Adobe Acrobat and Kofax Power PDF Advanced.
Compare ("redline") documents using Litera Compare.
For Proofreader-track DSAs:
Review documents against master files for discrepancies in content.
Review documents for formatting inconsistencies/appearance.
Review documents for typos and sense.
Mark up Word and PDF files to indicate any corrections or comments.
Assist with overflow work and special projects as needed
Job Specifications:
Hours – 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday. Note this is a hybrid role which requires in-office attendance a minimum of two days per week.
Bachelor’s Degree required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be:

Able to learn, retain, and apply protocols and best practices to various project types;
Able to manage multiple projects in a deadline driven environment;
Able to act with a sense of urgency when necessary;

Salary:
$55,000- $60,000. Paul, Weiss offers competitive compensation and benefits packages.
