Athletic Director (BHS) 2026-2027

Position OverviewBroome High School is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Athletic Director to lead and manage all aspects of its interscholastic athletic program. The Athletic Director will promote a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and integrity while ensuring compliance with all district and state regulations.QualificationsTeaching certification with minimum of 5 years teaching/coaching (required)Valid SC Principal Licensure (preferred)Certified Athletic Administrator (CAA) certification/training (preferred)Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skillsKnowledge of interscholastic athletics and governing regulationsExperience as an AD is preferredKey ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and oversight for all athletic programs and activitiesHire, supervise, and evaluate coaching staffEnsure compliance with all applicable rules, policies, and eligibility requirementsOversee scheduling, transportation, strength/conditioning program, and supervision of athletic eventsManage the athletic department budget, equipment, and facilitiesPromote academic success, safety, and character development of student-athletesCoordinate communication with students, families, staff, and community stakeholdersSupport and collaborate with booster clubs and community partnersManaging/overseeing the secure chain of custody of all athletic events of moneyAdditional ExpectationsEvening and weekend availability required (depending on sports season)Visible presence at school and athletic eventsCommitment to fostering a positive and inclusive athletic cultureAssisting with supervision during school hoursBroome High School seeks a leader who will inspire student-athletes to conquer and prevail both on and off the field.To Apply: Please click on the 'Apply for this Position' button on the right-hand side of this screen.
