Project Engineer - E2
Overview
In this role you will support the design and construction of Weapons System Infrastructure & Capabilities (WSIC) projects. You will work with the design and field teams to ensure facilities meet engineered intent, standards, and customer requirements. The work combines design reviews, site verification, and coordination to resolve issues and keep projects on track. This is a hands-on position near Cape Canaveral that shapes how space infrastructure supports mission success.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and review facility design packages including drawings, specifications, and cost estimatesEvaluate designs for compliance with engineering principles, standards, and contract requirementsReview construction plans to confirm alignment with design intent and perform regular site visitsIdentify deviations or deficiencies in construction and drive corrective actionsCoordinate technical developments, scheduling, and problem resolution across engineering teamsApprove design changes, release specifications and drawings, and manage related documentationSupport planning, organization, and control of engineering projects within assigned areaEnsure alignment of product design with customer requirements and engineering best practices
Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering or equivalent experienceAbility to read and interpret facility design drawings and specificationsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects in parallelProficient in Microsoft productsWillingness to travelAbility to obtain a Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong written and verbal communication skills for briefings and stakeholder coordinationKnowledge of construction codes, regulations and industry standardsExperience creating cost estimates for facility projectsFamiliarity with the MILCON processExperience with construction inspection and oversight
