Mentorship and professional development training are a focus throughout your entire career.Compensation: Starting at $16.00 per hourSchedule: Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9a.m. and 9p.m., Monday-Saturday, 10a.m. and 6p.m., Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Availability of two weekends per month is required, three is preferred. Average hours per week is 15-20ResponsibilitiesAsset ProtectionCommunicate with leadership regarding encounters and investigationsMaintain a professional relationship with local authorities and law enforcement agenciesCollaborate with law enforcement and other local retailers to identify organized retail crime threatsAssist leadership with cash handling and transfersObserve customers and associates for potential acts of theft or fraudTaking appropriate action to prevent theft, apprehending individuals engaged in theft activity when prevention is not effectiveConducting surveillance and apprehension of external theft suspects in compliance with company ethical standards and apprehension guidelinesMonitor video via CCTV and conduct on-site interviewsMaintaining all apprehension and investigation records according to company standardsDeveloping and maintaining knowledge and use of CCTV surveillance equipmentAssisting in monitoring store compliance with company policies and procedures relating to theft deterrence, safety, and operational controls, as assigned by the supervisorMaintain a high visible deterrent to crime and positively influence the security incident rate as well as assist with inventory controlsSafetyHelp mitigate security risks to provide a safer environment for employees and customersWelcome all customers, visitors, and vendors professionally and assist them in locating staff within the storesIssue electric handicapped shopping carts to customers and assist in obtaining wheelchairs and shopping cartsExamine and properly tag property being brought into the stores including personal property, equipment for service, and firearmsWatch facilities and parking areas on foot.
