Senior Principal Embedded Software Engineer

Working with a leading aerospace and defense company, you will contribute to systems that help protect national security. This organisation is at the forefront of innovation, developing advanced solutions for missile systems, radars, and complex defense applications, leveraging over a century of engineering excellence.The Role Architect, design, implement, test, debug, and deploy software for firmware (FPGA) and hardware solutions. Collaborate in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment for autonomous avionics systems. Develop, test, and integrate software for edge or embedded devices and/or subsystems. Ensure embedded software operates reliably for critical functions, mission assurance, and safety. Mentor and coach less experienced staff, contributing to proposals and design reviews. Work with Product Owners, Chief Engineers, and Management using Lean and Agile practices.What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in STEM field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Experience with Embedded C++ Software, Embedded Software Security, or Software Architecture Design and Implementation. Proficiency in using embedded Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) like Green Hills, Integrity, or VxWorks. Experience in developing complex systems integrating hardware, firmware, and software. Active Secret U.S. government security clearance required prior to start date.
