Polysomnographer (RRT) – Contract $40/hr VA Facility | Los Angeles, CA Location: VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System 11301 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90073 Job Type: Contract / Temporary Hours: Up to 40 hours/week (No overtime, no holidays) Position Overview We are seeking experienced RRT Polysomnographers to provide sleep diagnostic and respiratory care services at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System under a federal contract. Schedule 8-hour shifts 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM 8:00 PM – 4:30 AM Must be available for any shift as assigned Workdays vary based on facility needs Contract Details Base Period: March 16, 2026 – March 15, 2027 Extension Options: Four (4) one-year option periods Additional extension of up to 6 months possible Responsibilities Perform full-night and split-night polysomnography studies CPAP titration during sleep studies Continuous monitoring of sleep stages and physiologic parameters (EEG, EOG, EMG, airflow, oximetry, EKG, etc.) Manual and electronic sleep study scoring Maintain technical logs and documentation Recognize and respond to patient safety concerns Work under direction of Pulmonary and Respiratory leadership Requirements Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and Sleep Program 2+ years Respiratory Therapy experience 2+ years Polysomnography experience Active RRT credential (NBRC) One of the following: RPSGT, RST, or SDS ACLS and CPR certifications Active California licensure Three (3) professional references as a polysomnographer Must meet VA credentialing and approval requirements EEO/AAP Statement We acknowledge and honor the fundamental value and dignity of all individuals.
