Machine Operator/Assembler

_*Job Summary*_
_Operate production machinery and perform mechanical/electronic assembly and testing according to blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards. Support lean initiatives, maintain a safe work area, and help meet quality and on-time delivery goals._
_*Key Responsibilities*_
* _Set up and operate production machines for cutting, drilling, forming, tapping, deburring, reaming, and related operations._
* _Perform mechanical and electronic assembly using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and test equipment._
* _Read and follow blueprints, specifications, assembly routes, and work instructions._
* _Adjust machine feeds, speeds, and cutting depth as needed to maintain quality._
* _Inspect parts and assemblies using gauges, measuring instruments, and inspection equipment._
* _Perform basic product testing and accurately record test results._
* _Remove burrs, sharp edges, and other surface irregularities; perform basic finishing or touch-up work as required._
* _Maintain equipment, tools, calibration requirements, and a clean, FOD-free work area._
* _Complete required SPC and quality documentation._
* _Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities._
* _Follow all safety policies and manufacturing procedures._
_*Qualifications*_
* _2+ years of manufacturing, machining, or assembly experience._
* _Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written work instructions._
* _Basic shop math skills; knowledge of trigonometry is a plus._
* _Comfortable using computers and job-specific software._
* _Experience with mechanical assembly preferred._
* _Strong attention to detail and quality._
* _Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment._
_*Preferred Qualifications*_
* _Post-secondary education in Electronics Technology or a related field._
* _Soldering experience._
* _Experience with electronic/mechanical test equipment._
* _Lean manufacturing experience._
_*Work Environment*_
_Manufacturing environment requiring safe use of machinery, hand/power tools, measuring equipment, and assembly/test equipment. Must be able to maintain a clean and organized work area and follow established safety and quality procedures._
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
