Days include:Student Contact Days (166- includes beginning of the year conferences)Staff Development Days (6)Additional 10 days before/end of school year (10)Interviews will take place the week of June 1, 2026General Definition of WorkPerforms intermediate administrative support work assisting the administration in the effective operation of the school office, maintaining records and reports, answering the telephone, greeting callers, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the principal. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential FunctionsAnswers phones and directs callers to the appropriate staff member.Communicates pertinent information to parents, staff and members of the community via phone, email or mailings.Initiates positive daily communiation with students.Greets visitors, students, parents, salespersons, teachers, and staff coming into the school and directs persons to the appropriate individuals.Keeps accurate attendance records; enters student enrollment and demographic data; maintains student files.Assist the Dean of Students with data entry, collection, and other tasks.Assist the High School Counselors with calendar management and other assigned tasks.Compile testing schedules, documents and management of test completion.Track revenues and prepare financial deposits.Mail distribution and machine management.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThorough knowledge of Infinite Campus, thorough knowledge of standard office equipment and office software; ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals; ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with co-workers, students, parents, and elected officials.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED and moderate experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical RequirementsThis work requires the frequent exertion of up to 10 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; work regularly requires sitting, speaking or hearing, using hands to move, handle or feel and repetitive motions, frequently requires lifting and occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms and pushing or pulling; work requires close vision, ability to adjust focus, depth perception and color perception; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data and observing general surroundings and activities; work occasionally requires exposure to bloodborne pathogens and maybe required to wear specialized personal protective equipment and exposure to bodily fluids; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).Special RequirementsData Privacy TrainingValid Driver's LicenseRate of Pay:$19.12/hour Per Union Contract (pre-settlement)Benefits include: Medical InsuranceDental and Vision InsurancePaid Leave Time403(b)PERAFree School Fitness Center Membershipand moreSee ESP Master Agreement for more details on the NLS Employment page
