We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance department and contribute to our continued success. Job Summary: The Accountant role will involve assisting with month end close and financial reporting, performing account reconciliations, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation. Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to management. Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts. General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts. Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and classified. Prepare and post journal entries as needed. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Perform regular reconciliations of accounts and resolve any discrepancies. Assist with daily collection activities Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Tax Preparation: Maintain accurate records of tax-related transactions and support tax planning initiatives. Payroll Support: Collaborate with department heads to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting. Assist with accurate and timely payroll tax filing Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and systems. Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support overall financial management. Qualifications: Education: Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Bachelors Degree is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting. Experience in the transport and logistics industry is a plus. Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
