Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

Job Description Join our dynamic team at a state-of-the-art inpatient facility as we expand our services by adding a third acute adult psychiatric unit. We are seeking an experienced psychiatric provider to deliver comprehensive care to an adult patient population. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including RNs, techs, therapists, and administration, in a supportive and professional environment. Key Details Assignment Type: Locum TenensSetting: InpatientStart Date: May 4, 2026Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PMPatient Population: AdultLocation: Holyoke, MAStipends: Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates Benefits Weekly direct depositMalpractice insurance with tail coverageSupportive credentialing assistanceLodging and mileage reimbursement (if applicable)Flexible scheduling (optional if applicable) Job Responsibilities Provide psychiatric evaluations and manage treatment for acute psychiatric conditions.Participate in daily treatment meetings with all team members.Manage a patient caseload with an average daily census of 12-14.Implement and oversee pharmacotherapy and group therapy sessions.Collaborate with staff to conduct seclusion therapy and apply restraints as needed. Qualifications Board Certification is required.Current BLS certification.Proficiency in treating anxiety, affective, ADHD, personality, development, and psychotic disorders.Experience with involuntary commitments and treatment techniques is mandatory. Working Hours Monday to FridayDaily schedule: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.Skilled in various psychiatric treatment techniques, including pharmacotherapy and group therapy.Competent in handling seclusion therapy and restraint applications when necessary.
